This is very true guys, no matter how cute you think an adorable rat is, its not so good to get attached to him/her and then however long later he gets sick (which is what most rats from pet shops have happen :( ) or they tend to be more bitey or jumpy, and this is generally because they aren’t selectively bread for their nature and coat by an acclaimed breeder, they are usually just left to mate with who ever when ever. Its best to take the time to search for a good breeder, the net (obviously) is a great place to start. Also don’t be afraid to ask the breeder questions like how selective they are with the breeding process or anything that comes to mind. Better to be safe than sorry :)
